Me and a friend went down to Cabot to get my truck tuned by Rhino79.
He zeroed out all the fuel stuff etc etc. Set the shift points at 6000 rpm(great for the cam). Raised the timing up to ~26?. and took 25% TM out and a lot of other stuff.

Now the 1-2 shift(~50mph) is very firm while the 2-3(~95mph) shift is very firm too.

It pretty much woke the truck up! Im impressed and Rhino79 is a good tuner and i'd recommend him to anyone. and hes really nice and knows his stuff.

i havent got to tell how much better the mileage is. but tonight i drove 300 miles and burnt almost a full tank (18 gallon i think) so thats about 17 mpg.
but of course it was too the floor several times. and runnin 70-98 mph almost all the way. and we did a Lot of 25-30-35-38-70-80-65 punches while tuning.
and on the way back i ran about 70-over a 100 the way back. Then back in jonesboro i did a few more punches. Then tried to launch. then raced a bit. so i was pretty hard on the truck and still got decent gas mileage.

2-3 at 95mph? What you running for gears? 3.23's 3.42's?

 

3.42's if its a 99...

 

It's 3.42's with 275/60/16's, shifting at 6000 rpms.

 

+1 on Rhino79 being a nice guy and a really good tuner, hope to meet up with him again sometime soon.
