This is my 3rd vehicle to have tuned at Nelsons. The other 2 were taken to Allen by a friend of mine as I was in San Antonio for training and did not have time to take them myself. This was my first time to actually go there and meet him. The first vehicles was an 04'Rcsb with 5.3, factory 3.73s and a Magnaflow catback. With only the 93 tune from Nelsons this truck ran a 14.6@95mph. Not too shabby, especially for a daily driver.
I was really let down with the performance of my new truck when I picked it up from the dealer, its a 06' ECSB with the 5.3 and factory GM 20in wheels. This truck was a complete PIG.The tune really woke this truck up, and as soon as we rolled out of Nelsons place at 1/8th throttle, I could already tell a difference. If the truck is not on REALLY good roads it will break the back tires from a 30mph 1st gear kick down, and will scrub them when it hits 2nd from time to time. I don't think that my new truck will run a 14.6 as my old truck did, only due to its heavier weight, but I do feel that this truck is much stronger than my 04' with the same mods. It is my daily driver, so I probably wont be doing any other mods, but I do plan to take it to the track when we get some decent weather. I am quite sure it wont run a 14.6 as my old truck did, but I swear, it feels like it has a high 14 in it. As always, Allen did a great job, and as this was my first time meeting him, he was very courteous, knowledgeable and just seemed like an all around great guy. I have recommended him before, and will continue to do so. Big thumbs up for the 3rd time.

When you talk to him, be sure to ask him about the guy with the 35in tires and how much power they were sucking on the dyno, I promise you will be shocked.

I just sp[oke to Allen and jonathan on Monday and Tuesday and I mentioned to them that I had read a Blogg about you visitiing them. They are AWESome to deal with and have great customer communication. I am trying to get my trip together to go visit them. But I am a full day + in travel time away.
