Default Just can't figure it out

ok i have had several people look at this and nobody can come up with a reason.

First i have a 1987 R-10 chevy truck that i did a LQ4 swap with a radix supercharger on it with a 3" pulley running a 2-bar map S/D i am running the turbo 350 but next week i will be putting in the 4L80E. the truck puts down 401hp with 450ftlbs.

now when i go to the track all the runs i have done i can only get 15 deg of timing not matter what we do to it. oh the truck is set for S/D but is still looking for the maf. if we disable it the truck with not start. i have posted the tunes and scans from the other night in hopes someone can tell me what i am doing wrong.
ok i can't upload the files to here if someone can help i have the scans and files all HP tuners

188 was what we started with
1808 first attempt
1808-s1 was what we ended up with but they still didn't make a difference

Please let me know if you need anything else......
thanks guys
mike

I can't get your links to work. I of course have a few questions from what you stated above, but looking at the tune would be great.

Use the attachment feature if you know how. Or email them to me at dewey@bowenelectric.net and I'll post them up for you.

so it won't run in SD or it won't go into SD.

If it won't run, I'd guess your VE is crazy rich. Do you have a wideband?

It won't go higher than 15 cuz it knocks? If you are in SD I guess you are CRAZY lean looking at the VE table. You are commanding 11.48:1 AFR but what are you getting? I see you are only using 1bar PE (RPM) vs the BE table. No big deal just curious.

I haven't looked at your scans yet, I guess I could answer a few questions there.

HOLY PID's! LOL Remove somethings out of the table on your scanner. On my end you never leave 1st gear if you only watch the table. Your g/cyl is whacked to...I think there is a fix for that on HPT, let me see if I can find it.

Yep...

basically, remove the maf PID's if you are true SD, which IMO if you invested in 2bar (HPT) then let go of the MAF.

WOW...watching the last scan...your IAT goes lower as you go thru the gears, WITH A RADIX SUPERCHARGER AT THAT!!!!! yeah something is wrong there. Your trans temp is negative as well.

Your MAP only reads to 105 which leads me to believe you only have the 1bar sensor...DONE...get the 2bar sensor and call me in the morning.

well the trany stuff is not going to work as i don't have the 4L80 in yet i am running old school turbo 350 right now with a 2800 stall. i think that is where the problem is for the timing issues, am i wrong. as far as the IAT i am running a gallon resivor with only water and water wetter in it and it has worked out very well thus far.
the map issue we have tried and tried to get it to work out but again..... i did change the OS for the 2 bar map and am running a 2 bar map as well but hp does not seem to see it. as far as the AFR it is running right around 12.1 -11.9 according to the super flow dyno. i am not running a wide band as i have access to the dyno when ever i need it

get that IAT sensor fixed FIRST! you will play hell keeping the timming where you want it with a faulty IAT sensor, plus those Radixes make a bit of heat in boost..... FIX the sensor.....

Try scanning with this config. You need to log all things that can affect timing if that it what you are wanting to change.
As Dewey says. Logging all those parameters is a bad thing. Anything over 24 bits is to large. You miss a lot of data. I agree the IAT is screwy. If you've figured out how to get IAT's to drop like that in a pull let us know how.

Rename the file timing.cfg and load in the scanner and log it to help see what is going on with timing. My guess is burst knock retard.
