Default Intermittent high idle p0507

HPT log attached. I am so sick of these idling problems! What could be causing this? It was running perfectly the other day!

The only code is for high idle. The TPS and IAC (cleaned it) do not show to be open. And it is idling at over 2000 RPM.

Bone stock Gen 3.

Thanks for the help.

What year is the vehicle, mileage, and are you on original equipment?

Do you have CAI? Sensors plugged well?

6 pack of beer to whoever can help. Don't just throw random dumb ideas out though.

Would a stuck EVAP or PCV cause it to idle this high?

Thanks guys.

I believe my questions are valid. I went through a similar situation. Cleaned both sensors at the TB to save a little cash, and evidentally that didn't work. I bought and replaced both sensors, checked my EVAP AND MAF sensor connections. I made sure the CAI was secure.

Is the cable sticking, spray it with some Kryol(sp?)

Sorry I wasn't referring to your questions. I just didn't want people to come in and say Replace TPS, Replace O2, Replace MAF, etc because the log shows them working.

To answer your questions, the sensors are plugged in and it's bone stock 2001 with 250k.

When I pulled the IAC out, it was dirty and I cleaned it like in your pic. The plunger had about 1/4 inch play when gently twisting it each way. It did not move in or out by hand. Is this normal for that part? Thanks.

Plunger? Are you referring to the cable? If so, I don't believe that mine has that much play in it. Also keep in mind you have 250k mi on orig equipment, so it's more than likely that it's finally telling you it's tired. I believe there is a fix to replacing the cable, or it maybe easier to just replace the TB, and not mess with the cable.

Here's something I found by A-LA-Google Search... IAC
P0507 Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected - DTC Code

P.s. Get yourself a Haynes Manual. I keep one in the truck, JIC.
