My friend has an 01 silverado. The 5.3 in it has had better days. He picked up an 09 5.3. From what we understand the 09 engine has a 58 tooth reluctor wheel and the 01 has a 24 tooth. What do we have to do to make this work with the 01 computer? I think he has a 0411 pcm but not 100% sure. If he does have this pcm can this be changed with hp tuners? If not, what are our options and what has to be done to make this 09 engine work in his 01? Thanks guys.

Good info for sure. I usually have time to search but i am working lots so i apologize. Both of us are as we work at the same place. Can the 0411 pcm work this?
