Default Installed whipple without electronics, only boosts 2 psi

So I have a customer's ss in my shop and it just came back from the tuner. 03 6.0 with a cam, 42# injectors, longtubes, and a whipple blower. We eliminated the electronics that came with the blower and will only boost to 2psi. The pulley is supposed to be around 10psi and the bypass valve is new. Is there a safety feature not allowing this to get full boost? Customers fed up with his $2600 bill to tune a truck on 2psi.

3.75 or something close to that. With a 6.75 crank pulley. Just talked to whipple and I guess because of the mods we need to go even smaller on blower and bigger on crank.

You have an UD balancer and only a 3.75" snout pulley? At the very least you need to get a standard size balancer on there... That coupled with a 3.5" snout pulley and itll wake up.

The current combo would be like running a 4.125" pulley with the stock balancer. No wonder youre not seeing any boost.

Is this an old side mount Whipple? There is a way to put the blower into a "valet" mode with the bypass valve. I can't remember exactly how, but maybe when it was installed, it was hooked up that way?

If it is a side mount you will want to make sure the vac line is run from the bypass to the port near the TB OR the port on the output end of the blower and the second vac line is blocked off. I tried mine hooked to each port and it didn't seem to make any real difference. Disconnect the electric actuator. With a stock crank pulley and a 3.75 blower pulley my head/cam 5.3 made 8 psi with a Whipple. A 6.0 should make more than 2, imho. If it is not a side mount, sorry for the waste of bandwidth.

As mentioned by several others, my old side mount uses a 7.5" crank pulley and I am seeing about 6psi, but that is on a 408 with a 3" pulley.

I'm having the same problem. No Whipple electronics, I've checked the actuator, and iI've ran the vaccume lines In every way possible that would make sence. I'm still only seeing 4 psi.I've even thought mdsupercharger was junk so I sent it out and got it checked out and rebuilt. But the problem is still there. This problem is common I guess but no one ever post a fix
