Default installed my nelson tuned pcm today!!

and man i still have a smile on my face.i can't believe i waited so long to get a custom mail order tune over my programmer!
now the only thing i am waiting for is my vette servo so i can install that as well!
well just wanted to let you guys know what i thought of my nelson tune.

Congrats, I didnt realize how big of a difference tuning made until i started playing with it myself.. a lot of stuff to get straight..

A custom tune is a MUST on these trucks. I never knew how toned down they were. Ive added 10* of timing at WOT and it loves it. Ive added as much as 15*s in the mid range and its a whole new animal. It actually runs like V8 should now.

What I found most amazing is that since they are drive by wire is when you give it 100% throttle, it only open the actual 65% or less to keep the TQ down.

Where in the map have you added 15* of timing? On a stock internals motor, that is definitely quite a bit excessive under just about all circumstances. Even if you've not seeing any KR or hearing any pinging, doesn't mean that adding more timing will increase power.

Have you ever seen how low the stock timing tables are? They are 13*s WOT timing.. thats crazy low. In some MAP areas, I have as much as 12-19*s added.The whole timing table is rebuilt. Before, My truck would even spin the tires in the dirt.
