Have a 2001 2500hd std cab 2wd 8.1L w/allison trans. Bought truck new but was not equiped with cruise control. Did some research, had fuse in power fuse box, ecm part # shows with cruise control. Found new turn swith with cruise on e-bay for $72.50 free shipping so gave it a shot. Received today and installed, couple of plug connctions are a challenge with fat hands. Took on test drive and IT WORKS including the dash indicator. 93,000 miles and 12 years but now I have cruise control. Something of intrest I found that old non-cruise turn switch even had the wiring in it just the end of switch was missing the set/on/resume button. Strange thing when pricing the switch's is that the non cruise switch cost more ! -go figure

Cool. Didnt know nbs came without cruise control. Now can some one figure it out for nnbs.
