Insight CTS or Dash Daq
#1
So I dont want to have multiple gauges in a pillar mount, i want to have one display that can do everything. Has any one used the Edge Insight CTS or the Dash Daq? Can those read boost, air/fuel, knock, fuel pressure, trans temp or any other valuable info im forgetting? I know the CTS plugs into the OBD-II port, how does the Dash Daq work?
Im leaning towards the CTS. Ive installed many in diesels, but those have shift on the fly power levels. Obviously the gassers dont have that.

I bought one of the Edge CTS for my truck however after receiving it even though the documentation said it monitored knock it doesn't therefore I returned it and bought a DashHawk, it's not as fancy as the CTS however it monitors knock.

I'm bringing this back up. Now I'm very curious on the edge insight pro using hp tuners. Any one have any experience with this yet. I still haven't tuned my truck in the many years I've owned it. Just don't trust any one local, and haven't saved up monies for a quality mail order / remote tune. I still like the idea of having the insight to monitor. Now the ability to use custom tunes is nice.
Any feedback yet?

I'm not sure why you'd want to spend $500 just for a gauge to monitor the vehicle, seems like a waste of money. On top of that cost you'd have to buy HP Tuners Standard/Pro and that alone is $500-650 to begin with.
HP Tuners will do more than that thing too, way more.
You can buy a tablet and have you MPVI in the vehicle with you if you just want to monitor things all the time with your vehicle. If all you want is a gauge to read and monitor parameters just buy a aeroforce scangauge and build yourself a little mount in one of the cubby holes. The scangauge is half the price of an edge.

Also I feel it's totally pointless to have different "custom" tunes just for one vehicle unless you wish to spray NOS or something.
It's easy enough to tune the vehicle for everything all in one shot. Pick a fuel and stick to it and make the tune around it.
