when engine is cold starts and run's decent. when holding the throttle steady it revs smooth and sounds in good tune even at the higher rpms,

when warm around the 140+ range or a few minutes of running, the engine still holds rev's the same and drives smooth but when letting off the accelerator or a quick snap of the throttle the engine seems rich and wants to stall or stalls.

it tries to correct itself but most of the time it stalls, the warmer the truck gets the more tempermetal it is when revved, when the throttle is help it holds revs fine.


any ideas?? i am thinking of buying hptuners but should i settle for perhaps a nelson tune first and go from there?

Has it always done that? PE mode... Eq Ratio possibly set to flood motor with fuel. Stock tune or modified?

As for tuners, Nelson Performance (sponsor) is pretty popular, and Wheatley (sponsor) has a very good reputation.

 

so far has always done it .... only been driving it around the block until the bugs get worked out ..... took a while to do the swap been working i nthe driveway ...... tune has been loaded from hptuners depository but i have no idea who's tune ..... a person off ls1tech that livess close got me running. he found a tune on hptuners depository and told me it would get the truck started ... which it did. but ....... lol, now i am here. nelson perf. seems to think it isnt totally in the tune b/c it does run fine in open loop.

i recentley bought a laptop for hptuners thinking of going for it soon.
