Default IAT and BARO Breakout

I posted this on the 2kxx section but figured it may get more traction here. So my tuner is telling me that to full take advantage of the water/meth we need to "Breakout" the IAT(intake air temp) from the MAF(mass air flow) to get a real IAT reading since the water/meth is sprayed after the MAF!!! I just ordered a harness and a sensor from Dedicated Motor Sports that will accomplish this. Has any one done this?

He also said that he has a low side fuel solution for our trucks as well. I will let you all know more about that when I find out more.

You need to know the iat of the air going into the intake, not pre blower.

To echo 03sierra,

Any possible gains are going to be negligible if tuned properly. You really shouldn't have to start pulling timing until around 130 degrees IAT.
