Try unplugging both front O2 sensors (to force open loop) and see what it does... As stated before, you need to find someone else to work on this thing - a real tuner can diagnose problems as well as tune...

Tuner came down again today. No dice. Ive replaced the throttle body and put a new ecm with a stock file in it. He cant get it to idle. At this point i want to just put a carb on it. Unless i can find someone that can diagnose the issue.

Thanks

Id also like to reiterate that this guy has done well over 100 e38 cars and trucks. Been doing business with him for a while. But i just want the damn thing fixed and i need someone willing to fix it.

He finished a 418 a couple of days ago said it was no problem. I verified the injector data matches what fic sent me.

Im looking at a 2300 dollar expense plus time i don't have to convert this thing to a 4mpg gas guzzling machine. Id really like to stick with fuel injection. But if i buy efi live... First of all i don't know how to use it, second of all if it still doesn't work I'm set back a thousand dollars

no, i'm talking high horsepower boosted stuff that requires injectors as big or bigger than yours.

I know he has done several 1000+ not sure if they were using the e38 processor, he is primarily a ford guy but does lots of Chevys. Feel free to text me back if you have any questions or anything. Its a lot faster than this forum. But honestly i don't know what to do. Everything has been replaced.

Can you post the tune? It might not be a tune issue, but is worth looking at it.

If he is trying to tune an e38 like a ford it wont work very well. I use several different tuning softwares but try to stick with ls based vehicles vs trying to tune everything. I can tune a GM with hpt or efi in less than half the time it takes me to tune a ford with sct. E38's are a whole different animal to tune vs the old ls1b pcms unless he is very familiar with them.

Physically looked at crank and cam reluctor. Both are correct 58x and 4x. Installed stock injectors and bone stock file. Truck will still not run or idle. All grounds have been confirmed. Still at complete loss on this truck. Spoke with brian at lme and he didnt have any ideas either. Now i guess im looking for someone that does good diagnostics, texas speed maybe? Looking like i am going to have to ship the truck somewhere to get it fixed. I spend 10,000 on a new engine and setup and cant even get it to run n/a. Not even idle. Help guys!
