Is this for new vehicles only? And if it is not isn't this only for the first read?
I seem to recall this problem when I was tuning my girlfriend's dad's 2011 Suburban a couple months back but I thought it was only for the first read.
2017+ and I know for certain they have greyed out secondary o2 and emissions controls recently as well. This last part is true of even the 0411 I was recently getting worked
Yeah but I think in terms of reading I thought that it was always just the first read that needed internet for that "cloud service" lol
I have yet to see my PCM not let me touch emissions so fingers crossed it doesn't change.
After I do some tweaking I'll let you guys know if ya need to connect again for writing to the PCM.......
Update- it won't let me purchase credits; I wonder if this is because the E92A controller needs to be unlocked? My 2016 Sierra had the E92

MPVI2 also has a cable unless you have the BT version which I do not.
The way they do it on the MPVI2, which I assume they also have for the 1 but I am not sure, is that it is connected to your MPVIs serial number. You buy it on the website and put it on to the device in your account. The device then knows when you go to start up the truck.
Again last time I tuned a truck was probably in June and HPT continues to change **** so it may be different.
