so i got a programmer for cheap. i just want it to check codes. i do some towing to and from the sand dunes and nothing big but alot of hills. will this help me or should i just use it to check codes? i know it is about worthless but i dont have another vehicle to use and send the ecm for a tune so this was what i did. all help is appreciated.

 

It isn't going to help much besides the codes. Any of the mail order guys will send you a pcm, then you send yours back as a core after, so there is no down time. Or better yet get a live street tune, im up north in mn so there is not alot of guys doing it up here but texas seems to have quite a few.

 

IF you got it for cheap.. try to sell it and make a dollar.. then get a custom tune..

thanks guys i got it for 50 and i will have to see what i can do to get a tune then.

 

mine is sellin at $71 already with about an hour to go on ebay and they usually sell for more than that so sell that joker!

 

thought i should let you know mine just sold for $165.37 plus $12 flat rate shipping on ebay for an 01! that eems like a pretty sweet profit there for a 50 buck tuner!

 

I can tell you wheatley did my tune and did a really good job, was at my door i think 3 days after i called him, and im a long ways away.
