Default hypertech problem

Have had a hyper tech on my 06 5.3 for at least a year. When i had it put on i could go over 100. Now everytime i go faster than 100 the rpm will sit on 4000 and it will just stay at 100. Can my computer unlearn the programmer?

Yes i took it to the dealership on saturday, but my truck did this before i took it into the shop. the last time i had it worked on was because my tranny was leaking so i dont think they would have hooked it up so they could flash it. i dont know whats going on.

I had a problem with a Hypertech. The problem was it sucked compared to a tune and I should have never bought it!!!!

Sorry.

As to your problem, if it is not cutting out the engine, it's not hitting the speed limiter. So you keep it floored and it will not \go any higher?

Return to stock, then retune with the programmer. If that doesnt do it, give hypertech a call. Their customer service is less than helpful, but you might get them to fix it. Thats a stretch though.

yes when i keep it floored the speedo will just sit at 100 and rpm at 4000. i can let off just a little bit and the rpm will drop down to about 3 or 3500 ish . it even does it when im going downhill.
