No vids, no proof. J/K I think between Big Dave, MoreGrip, & you, the 3 of y'all have used up 1/2 of the server space w/ your project builds.

Tires to be here Tues. or Wed.

To the OP, staggered tire sizes on a vehicle equipped with 4 wheel ABS is only okay when the rolling circumference of both sizes is very close. This means, wider on the rear is okay, as long as the rolling circumference is almost exactly the same. Taller tires on the rear is where your problems begin.

None of this is a problem on any vehicle without 4 wheel ABS. If you want to run this combo without warning lights or unwanted ABS activation, pull out your ABS fuse, and remove the light bulb from the cluster.

BTW, I speak from experience on this subject. On my '99 Z28, I ran 245/50R16 on the front, and 255/50R16 BFG drag radials on the rear. The difference in diameter and circumference was actually pretty minimal, but if I was braking at speeds of 45 MPH or faster, the ABS engaged. The faster the speed, the more ABS I noticed, and was hard to slow down at all in triple digits.

Tires came today. I ordered Fri. I'll tell ya what Brown did for me, made my day. Now, I can go on Power Tour.
Had tires @1:15. Put em on scales to weigh. Fronts came in @ 33#, rears came in @ 39#. I checked my stock combo w/ GPS. At 60mph w/ 3.42, I was turnin ~1700 rpms.

Around 3pm, took truck to have old ones broken down, & new installed.
BTW, I didn't even burn the old ones down like I wanted.

Anyway, w/in 1 hr, I rolled out on new treads & lit em up.
They ride nice, handle well, fill out rear wheelwells nice too. On hwy, quiet & at 60mph, similiar rpms. Speedo is only off by 2mph. I came off freeway, nailed it, get slightly sideways, & to my surprise, they hooked.

The best part, no ABS light. I tried a quick stop from ~50mph, no ABS light. I'm happy w/ that. Tonight it's supposed to rain, & I'll see how wet traction is.
So far, so good.

General Grabber HTS 255/70/16 Front.
General Grabber HTS 275/70/16 Rear.

Saved ~$170 by going w/. Grabber instead of Goodyears. I don't have a lot to spend, plus I want to go larger later. As in 17, 18, or 20". But that might be 2 yrs.
