Default Which HPTuners Program

I own a 2000 S10 with 4.3/4L60. I'd like to have a program that I could view all of the data and information like is was doing a live tune without being able to actually change any parameters. I am mainly looking for something to learn how it all works while viewing the logs, then eventually upgrading to a program to tune my own vehicle. Ive read most of the descriptions on the HP Tuners website, but so far its all greek to me. lol

Buy the full "MVPI Pro" version, learn as you go.

Also, if I buy one of these programs, will I be ready to log and view, or will I need a wideband or other software?

You will need a wideband to log actual AFR. Other than that, yep you can log/scan and tune with the program... Like others said go ahead and get the pro version to start out with, then get a wideband later...
