Default HPT or Wheatley

Hey guys, I need some input here. Want to tune my 99, but would also like to have the option of tuning my Dad's 04, as well as a new tahoe that will be purchased later this year. I have lurked on this room, and think a Wheatley tune sounds great, along with free updates from him. Price seems fair for it as well. I am fairly computer savvy, but have no experience in this area. For cost effectiveness, to get the most outta my $$- could I effectively use the HPT software? I mean, can I get a good base tune for mileage/power combo from the forums and then play with it from there? all trucks will be pretty stock, no major mods. Thanks for any helpful advice (I know, nelson tune is good too, but seems a bit pricey). I'm not wanting this thread to turn into a HPT VS Wheatley VS Nelson deal- just sound advice from those that have used the products.

Get HPTuners and tune them using RTT=Real Time Tunning it should be real easy since you plan on stayin stock.

Thanks Charlie- I'm definitely narrowed down to these two options. Seems that it may be slightly more cost effective to get the HPT (for 3 vehicles), but the main reason I'm considering that route is just my interest in being able to tweak it myself- sounds like fun!
