I've heard some of you guys having two computers with hpt installed on them, i was wondering how does the vin readings work like that?

Lets say i have one computer now i use for a couple vehicles and later i upgrade computers what happens to the vin #'s i've already purchased and saved?

Yes, the licensing is stored in the cable, not the computer. You can save the tune files onto more than one computer. I backup my files to a thumbdrive.

 

Like stated above the licenses are stored in the cable/box. Currently I have hptuners and efilive on 3 computers.

I have one of those notebooks that I take in the car with me because it has a 11hr battery life. Once I get home I load the scans/tunes onto the big comuter and fiddle with that.

Like everyone else stated. Its just a program. You can putit on whatever you want. Its the cable that holds all the info.
