Default hp tuners "engine type" questions...

my pcm was originally for a 5.3, should i change the engine type to a 6.0 or doesn't it matter? i have slowly been getting the ve table inline and am now calibrating the maf sensor. thanks.

yes change the engine type to a 6.0, and if you havent already, you will need to adjust the displacement above it. The PCM uses this for fueling and other calculations.

I'm not sure exactly, i do know it uses the cylinder volume to help scale some of the tables in the pcm.

I would think your AFR would be calculated incorrectly as well as IFR and PE if the displacement didn't match the actual engine
