Default HP tuner ? TPS problems

This is a 2003 Silverado SS/ Vortech SC/ LT's 4" exhuast/ 228/232 598/600 114LSA cam with dual springs, ti retainers, big push rods/ arp rod bolts to run up to cams power band( 6600rpm). 60lb motrons with walbro 340pump. Thats just a little bit of background on the truck, Im sure I forgot to metion some things but this is the basic stuff.

The problem I am seeing is the TPS will show 20% at idle. Is this the a learn for the truck to idle? And if so do I have to take this into consideration when it comes to tunning everything in reference to the TPS? Can I drill a whole in the blade to help this? Believe it or not I have got the idle pretty good, but I had to take it up to 850. Before I start trying to tune everything in for fuel with the LM1 I want to see what the deal is with the TPS.

Thanks guys

from what I have learned from personal experince and researching - those of us with drive by wire throttle bodies have to rely on the throttle to crack for airflow instead of an IAC.

for reference, stock cam, idleing at stock (what? 550 or so?) rpms I read a stead 5-7% TPS according to HP Tuners VCM Scanner, with this in mind I'm not extremley surprised with your findings

note: for guys with cable driven throttle body's this is completly different

EDIT: drilling a hole probably would bring that number down, but I don't know if that would be the best way to go about it, I do have a spare DBW throttle body with a bad TPS that you could use for the throttle plate if you are intersted, that way you don't ruin your and not have a replacement. PM me if interested
