If you want to learn and have control over everything on your own, then get HP Tuners!
You won't regret it. It takes some time to learn, but there are lots of people willing to help and there is a ton of good write-ups.

Neither, go with EFI Live!!! IMO go with the tuning software either EFILive or HPTuners

You'll get a bunch of different opinions on this and it all comes down to what you want to get out of it. If you want something that you don't have to do anything to the go with a tune from Nelson/Wheatley/Black Bear. If you want to have more control, go with HP Tuners/EFI Live. If you want both, get the HP Tuners/ EFI Live and send logs back and forth to the tuner you chose originally to help you out. There are plenty of people on here who could guide you in the right direction if you decide to do it yourself.

I don't have as much time/knowledge to get the software so Nelson did mine and I couldn't be happier! Just my opinion!!

Should be $10 for shipping if you do mail order. If you do HP Tuners and email logs, I'm not sure if there is a cost???? Either way, they are great to work with!

You say they are great to work with, but I have been waiting for 2 weeks for Allen to call me regarding getting my truck tuned. What am I doing wrong? I sent a detailed e-mail with everything about my truck and what I want and asked to have Allen call me to answer some questions before I order. No call after a week, so I left a voice mail for him and still have not heard from him.

I really want a tune, but it seems like he simply doesn't want my business???

Edit:

I just filled out the form on his website and heard from him almost immediately via e-mail. I guess i was going about it the wrong way. My bad. Funny how submitting a credit card # gets attention...LOL

Looking forward to a great tune!!!
