Default Hp tuner first set up ?

When doing my very first scan on my new hp tuner. It ask me if I want to scan basic (which it said was for beginners). I said yes

then after scaning my truck i ruck I realize that doesn't give me all the option I need. Like under power enrichment I only have three tabs

wow do I go back and tell it to scan the pro way with more options.

Am I still missing tabs. I was following a sloppy mechanic's video. On his screen under power enrichment he has tow tabs for PE Throttle/petal, Hot and Cold. On my screen I only have the hot option.

Under Speedo there is no place to put in tire size.

Got the tires, you have to go to Edit>gear/tire wizard. On my version HP tuner.

i watch a different video on beginner tuning and there power enrichment screen didn't have a cold tab. So I'm sure about that one

What are you aren't thinking about is that not every computer is the same and not every OS is the same.

Only the P01 and P59 computer except 2007 have a hot and cold table. Everything from 2007+ and using a GEN 4 computer is likely to only have a HOT table. Nothing is missing, it's just how HPT setup the parameters for you to change.

Go open a 2001 file and then a 2011 for example. The 2001 will have both and the 2011 will not.

Thanks man that's a lot of help. I just got to keep reading. I got a tune from a "friend". That didn't take that much time to tune for my headers. So I'm reading on how to rework that.

and my Tow Haul mode down shift's to red line as soon as you turn it on. So I can't pull with it activated any more. I have to use manual mode.

Yep, every OS is a little different. Some have more buttons than others, even within the same year range vehicle depending on OS.
