Default HP or Live?

ok, i've looked at both, to me the only difference between the two is the look and the price. i imagine that both tuners can support any bolt-on or cam change i do. can i get some help on which one you guys prefer. thanks

I've never used EFI Live, I have HP Tuners and like it. I think they all about the same thing, HP Tuners has a forum for help - and that's what counts when you need a question answered you need support from the company and other users, which their forum has. I don't know if EFI Live has that, but it may be something worth checking in to

I have HPtuners, at the time it was best for me, cause I got two year liscenses instead ot 2 VINs Ive been able to help out a lot of friends. Ive only had a chance to briefly use Live, and think its also a good product, but I have more experience with HPT so Im more comfortable. I have a few friends with live, and have been able to help them over the phone, but some of the terminollogy is a little different. Also I know HPT has a help forum, not sure about EFI, but I would imagine they do.
I would say both are about equal in what they will do, but personally I use HPtuners.

I'll throw my 2 cents in here as I have EFILive and wouldn't trade it for anything. They too have a forum for help question with a bunch of knowledgeable guys on there also http://efiforum.iqd.co.nz/

Plus the 2 guys that own/run it could not possible give better consumer service!!! I have nothing but praise for them!

Learning to tune has been time consuming, but my truck runs great and couldn't be happier.

I have been wondering which one to get too. I plan on getting a Wideband so I will need Wideband support. I plan on staying NA, so no FI support is needed. So here are my questions:

1. The write-ups I have read say you have to put the can in SD mode to tune the LTFT and STFT and WOT Timing. Is this correct?
2. If #1 is correct then do I have to get the 1-bar SD tuning option if i go with HP Tuner?
3. Are the table names and PID the same in HP Tuner and EFI Live?
