Default how much power can....

a 98 truck vortec intake system handle. zz4? zz383? thnaks for any help.

400hp or about 330 whp w appropriate mods, from what I've read.

The stock injection has been used to power a ZZ383, but teh engine went lean at high rpms.
The injectors/poppets are good until just over 400 crank hp.
Thats the reason I went with teh Mercruiser/GM MArine intake.
Even though I am no where near teh popets limit, I am up on power because the marine intake doesnt have the internal obstructions tah the stocker does.

Page 2 of this thread has excellent pics of the stock CSFI u\injection and also the GM MPFI solution for the poppets.

The new spider uses small injectors at the end of the hoses, instead of the stock popets that are at the START of the hoses. GM was doing the conversion for free on Cali vehicles as Cali gas dint work well with the stock poppets. The MPFI conversion is about $200-$300.
