How to clear DTC codes without a scanner
#2
Find someone who does.
I've heard that they will clear on their own by disconnecting the battery cables, but I've never seen this happen or heard someone tell me they had that work.

I Have Seen On A Post Somewere It Was The Pcm Fuse But There Was Something Else You Had To Do For It To Work. I Printed The Page Off
And It Worked But I Lost It. I Think It Was Off Of Ls1 Tech Where I Found It

Thanks, I'll try that.
Couple points I learned this weekend that dispute some posts in this thread:
1. Vatozone will not normally delete codes, only read them for you. I asked them to and they said it's against policy because they could be fined for deleting emissions-related codes for someone prior to annual vehicle inspection, so they won't delete ANY codes (not just emissions related). Note, this could be Texas-only, or just in states with state vehicle inspection programs. Of course, if your buddy works at Vatozone, he will probably delete them for you anyway, but it would be against policy.
2. Tried the PCM fuse pulling method. Pulled both "ECM" fuses in the engine compartment fuse box and left them out for over an hour. SES light still on.
I will try BDR5oh's solution tonight. I have a code for "low voltage to bank 2 knock sensor" in my 2001 Silverado HD 6.0L. Have heard that it could be a "false" problem, that sometimes a split second voltage drop can trigger this code and there is really nothing wrong. I can't wait to delete it and see if it comes back or not.
