Default hopeless Hypertech?

I purchased a hypertech programmer off of eBay some time ago for a great price, and of course the deal was too good to be true. once i hooked it up to my 2001 2500hd, it read "flash memory corrupt: programmer needs to be reset." and after calling Hypertech hotline, they told me they could reset it for $200... HA!

should i just get my money back, or is there some hope for the "broken" programmer?

im with trever but to answer your question no there is nothing you can do for the hypertech, either get hypertech to reset it or try to get your money back or try and see if who you bought it from will unlock it, whta happened was they bought it, programmed their truck and the programmer locked itself to that VIN # and now it is locked

How long ago? If you can, get your money back, and like trever said, get a custom or mail order tune from one of our site sponsors! ----------------->
