i mean in tuning purposes, I would like to see you turn off PE and tune a boosted vehicle. Ive never disabled PE at all, and i have no intention of doing so. I leave pe on when i do autove, and never mess with it.

Cool I want a 6 speed now How's the ***-o-meter? Doesn't it feel better with the newer tune than the old one? Are you getting any KR?

yeah it feels great. like there is alot of torque. i hit certain area at take off i can hear alittle, it like in the 800rpm and 105kpa cell area i dont hit that area that often so im not hugely worried bout it at the monment. im still tweakin on the stft a touch, tryin to get them all under +/- 4. i believe im goin at the right way cuz they seem to be goin in the direction i want.

i will say the 6-speed is awesome. top of third at 6500rpms im doin like 120+, then its shift to forth.

Have you considered a rear gear change with that 6 speed? It geared for a Fbody - I can tell you right now (with no offense) my 5 speed 6L truck would stomp you a new mudhole after watching that speedo vid. I have 3.73's as well but my 3rd gear is a 1.40:1 ratio where your T56 is a 1.30:1. That spread between our transmissions is huge. To give you an idea I hit 105MPH at the top of 3rd around 6200 RPM's. Also don't put your new motor in until you do something with your gear ratio because it'll get even worse yet. Not doggin' ya, just trying to help you make your truck into a mean street fightin' machine. Start looking for some 4.56;s or 5.13's with your setup. You'll be much happier

oh i have the plans to get 4.56s, but i have almost all of the parts for the build on my motor. i might be able to get the cash and do that over the winter too. yeah i know what you mean, the truck is a dog off the line. but from a roll its still a monster.

i also want to do 243 heads, and get the runners ported and polished. my cam has almost .650" lift so i have to find out if i need to get valve reliefs cut in the flat tops befor i put them in. after all of that my motor will be done. i think, lol.

here is what i have as of this morning. the KR your lookin for should be under tab 2 in the histogram. i am getting alittle in 800 to 1000rpm column at about 95 to 105kpa area. take a look if you would and give me some pointers on what i should do. thanks.

Billie, I just had a chance to look at your log (huh uhuhu uhuh uhuh) and there's no KR that I can see. I mean yes there's a blip or two but when it's isolated to just a cell or two I usually do one of two things. Either go in your spark table and pull a degree of timing around and including that cell. Also if that doesn't cure it, chalk it up to false KR caused by a harmonic noise somewhere or a vibration. (IE aggressive cam, headers rubbin on frame, etc) I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, I'm willing to bet you were trying to see if you could get KR, if you weren't trying I bet you would have never gotten to 100 KPA in that low of a RPM under normal driving (that's some hard luggin'). How's the truck running now that you've driven it a few days?
