You didn't log your stft's. That VE table took hours to hand smooth and is the result of my 6L with a 218/224 cam, ported heads and 10.6 comp. How did the truck run with that VE inserted?

it ran good. ill set it up to log the stft's, and post a scan in the morning. im still getting the lean condition in the lower map region at high rpms. im guessing its from downshifting.

Yeah I want to see a histogram of your stft's. Also you remembered to reset your ltft's in the scanner, right? Even though we're not working on ltft's - the ltft's are held in memory until purged. for any pos stft's raise the ve table in the 3d graph. If you only have a cell or 2 where its lean and the surrounding cells are on the money, chalk it up to your 02 sensor going wiggity wack and ignore

see that is where i was probably doing things wrong. cuz in the wirte up i read on tuning with a wb you tune off of afr error%.

well i got a scan this morning but i have not reset my fuel trims in a long time. so i dont know if this is gonna give you the info you are looking for.

oh yea, im back to the tune you set up for me (my first tune2).

ill make the adjustments you stated above and hopefully put down another scan later today. maybe ill get luck and have to go run some earns for the company.

Check back in this thread in about an hour from the time my post is stamped. I will have an updated VE table for you and I'll explain what I did and why. I have to run to work though, I'll take care of it once I get there. (Love being a PC tech sometimes) It's cool when running HPT in table form, people just think you're working on an Access Database or Excel

Wow, that VE table I had you use from my truck was amazingly close. Looking at your log file your AFR's are starting to look spot on Try to get some more 4K on up data on your next log. Also do you plan on using your MAF again? Is the truck run year 'round? I am running SD on my setup. Get some more data for me and report back. Since you have a wideband and I don't, try this updated tune I sent you. I reworked and revised your PE settings and timing tables (basically your final tune before enabling the MAF). You should be pretty close in performance to where I'm sitting now.

What I did to your tune this time around (and use your compare feature)
  • Enabled LTFT's
  • Enabled Closed loop
  • Enhanced your low octane spark table (hope you're running premium)
  • Fixed your power enrichment settings
  • changed your PE enrichment rate so it tapers in as opposed to just going straight to your commanded 13:1 (this will eliminate a temporary bog you experienced)
  • Disabled your burst knock settings - this is false KR that comes during a quick throttle transition (it's not real knock, just predicted) It's now disabled.

Go flash this tune in and tell me how it runs. Should be a little scary I can promise you it'll run circles around your last tune.......
