You have a V1? Yes, you just have to setup the PID list for it and program it. Then just press the button on it to stop and start the logs and it will log about 20-25 minutes of data (512k of data). There is directions for how to set it all up in the user manual in the help files, 
The V2 how ever, can hold up to a 2 gig, SD memory card that could potential hold enough info for logging for something like a data log thats on for 24/7 for months,

It's Black Box Logging. You use just the cable and hand held box to create a data log and can view the info live on the hand helds LCD, then after you've created the log file you then take the hand held and down load the log file into your PC and can review the entire log and make changes to the tune. Really cool
