Default Heater not working
Got a 04 silverado today, heater mode blows but no heat. Is this a issue under the dash or common for the switch to not work?

check to make sure the previous owner didnt bypass the heater hoses. you don't need heat in texas anyways lol

No, they didnt. The passenger side blows hot, the driver side does not...

Temp door motor is bad. Replace both while you have the dash out

It's not bad. The driver's side is easy (0.7 shop hours)...the passenger side requires removing the entire dash and HVAC assembly (5.4 shop hours)
