Default headlight and tail light issues

Hey
Alright well I hit a deer and I just fixed my truck, but now my left side head light and tail light doesn't work. I know the bulbs are good, I bought 2 sets and tried them, but the left side just won't come on. That's the side I hit by the way, I checked the fuses, they looked good? Unless I'm looking in the wrong place. And also, my left tail light won't come on, but the brake light does which is the same bulb, so I figured it must be electrical problems. Relays? Someone please help. Thanks.

Post up some info on the truck, I'll look at a schematic. Was all of the damage on the front end, or did the left rear get hit too? You have any pics of where the damage was, and how extensive it was?

I don't have any pictures.. I hit the hips of the buck with the left front side of my truck, so both my lights on the left were took out, and the wires were exposed to rain and what not until I got it fixed. So I figured something shorted, or some of my friends were talking about the relays, I don't know where they are at, and I checked my fuses of what I believe are the headlights and tail lights.. Oh and the back of my truck wasn't hit. Thanks.

You should make a signature with that info. It avoids having to keep repeating it, and it keeps from having the question asked every time you post.

Looking at the schematic, and your description of the problem, I'd have to guess that you have a blown fuse, or a damaged harness.

Each of the 4 bulbs has its own fuse. Both lowbeams share the same relay, and all the headlamps share the same ground.

The tail lights are not connected to the headlamps, so that's a seperate issue. Hope this helps you.

That helps a lot, thanks! But could you tell me where my relays are located?

In the underhood electrical center. But if you had a bad relay, one relay would affect both lights. There's one relay for the lowbeams, and one relay for the highbeams.
