Default Hard to keep running after flash...

Ive been having this problem ever since I got my blower, but right after I flash the pcm (even if its just trans settings), it is very hard to keep running. I have to start it 5 or 6 times and hope the underspeed catches before it stalls. After I get it running once I can turn it off and restart it without any problems. Its just right after I flash it getting it running that first time.

I attached a log and tune, but I cant figure out what I need to do. Less aggressive overspeed control? less base spark?

there is a table for IAC, I was told to increase this table by 50% and work up from there after my turbo swap! I have the same problem, weather i read off the tune or flash the truck. Mine usually takes a day or two of two foot driving to let it re-learn but its fine after that! I need a dyno tune anyway haha!

Does it just rev up then fall on it's face?

I don't know the HPTuners table names. But EFI Live you increase Startup RPM Decay in Gear and startup RPM Decay in P/N...

every time me, tyler, or danny have flashed it'll start cut out real quick and then idle normal. key off and start again and it would be fine.
Not sure why it's so bad on yours.

It will fire up every time, but after a second it will go from ideling fine at 1000 to stalled. This repeats 5 or 6 times until it finally wants to stay running. After it catches itself that first time it will run and start fine until I flash it again.

Like lownslo06 said, Every time you reflash it, it needs to relearn idle. Buy increasing the IAC table you get it closer in the ballpark for where it wants to be once it relearns.

Sounds like your airflow isn't right.

When you re-flash you are deleting all the learning the PCM did and those 5 or 6 restarts is probably enough data for the PCM to compensate.

That's my best thought at this time.

I only looked a second and couldnt see anything obvious in the engine > idle section. I have worked on the base running airflow table, so that should be close... Im not around a computer with hpt right now, it will be tonight before I can look at it.

I am not saying it will solver your problem, but when i used to have that exact same problem... After a flash it would start, rev up then fall right on it's face... I found a thread somewhere along time ago that said to increase both of those fields to 100, that seemed to solve my issues...
