I'm running E85 and truck has been tuned on it. Only problem I have is that it starts extremely hard when cold. I've HPT what can I change in the tune to help? Starts fine hot.

 

Cranking fuel FA multiplier vs. cranking time.

 

Maybe startup airflow initial, in the idle section. Maybe the ECT spark base, too.

 

Just checked that and compared between current E85 tune and non E85 tune. Both are the same so no changes done there.

 

Idle airflow has changed but I requested that and it didn't make any difference. ECT spark hasn't changed. What do I need to do?

 

Maybe more cranking fuel because it doesn't evaporate as fast as gasoline? Maybe more spark for the same reason?

 

e85 needs like 25% more cranking fuel at start up IIRC.

 

How do I go about doing that?

 

Same here, E85 takes a few more cranks to fire up, esp in the winter. Sub'd

 

Started tuning mine via email with logs. Alcohol content was about 74%. Tuner just finished up with content now 85%. Starts harder as alcohol content goes higher. My MAF curve and timing is all that was really changed in my tune so I'm thinking it needs something that has gotten missed.
I guess that is the drawback of mail order and email tuning.
