Default Got a new laptop, how to transfer liscenses???

I just loaded Hptuners onto my new laptop and cant get it to read my truck or recognize any liscenses. It just says the the interface cant be found.
Is there something special I have to do or what?
Do I have to remove the program from my old laptop?
Is there a limit to how many computers the software can be on? I have it on my desttop PC, my moms laptop, and now on my laptop. Is that a problem?
I am using 2.1.12 and have used the same application key all three times.

Thanks

Not knowing how HPT works specifically, I can't speak from experience, but if it is saying it can't find the interface cable, it sounds like a driver issue to me...

As I understand it, the HPT licenses are stored in the cable (or the port key) and shouldn't matter what computer you use. I could be wrong. I would contact HPT to find out for sure.

I just went from one laptop to another and did not have to do anything special to get it working. Just reloaded the software and I was on my way.

Are you using the old serial cable or USB? Ports working correctly?

Cool

Make sure your com port is activated and that the software and computer are referencing the same COM port. Probably COM 1. Also if you have an infrared port that the COM port takes precedence.
