This is my first time using the forum and I am looking for some suggestions for my 01 Silverado.
Completely stock 8.1L, 2500HD,AT.
I am looking for a Engine/Transmission management tuning program. I currently have an old EZ Read 2000 AutoXray that I can't get upgraded and doesn't do much at all. I really do not want to spend thousands of dollars. I would just like to have something practical that I can do all my own tuning and tweaking and with out having to contact the supplier and pay for updates and upgrades continually.
I also have a jeep I play with but not as much as the truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Sound like EFILive is what you are looking for. It's a GM Scanning and Tuning suite and you can change pretty much any parameter in the engine and transmission. You can down load the software and check it out in demo mode to see how everything is laid out and just what it can do. The price for a V2 is $798 for the GM version. There is never any fees for updates. It comes with licences to tune any 2 vehicles they support and additional licenses can be bought for $99. I am a reseller so I can get it for you.
