Im going to be getting a rebuilt tranny put in soon. Will I have to get the pcm retuned, and will the installer make adjustments?

Depends on whats going in the rebuild, if its just the clutches and the simple $40 REBUILD KIT then No. If your going to increase the pressure with a .5 boost valve or add a shift kit you might get asked to tune it but its not part of the rebuild price unless requested.
When you get it rebuilt ask for a fibre gasket rather than a cork and a hardend plate and aluminum accumilators. Have them rebuild the pump as well since its already accesable.

The builder said hes going to put in a shift kit. I'll ask about the pump rebuild aswell. Thanks

you have yout tuner program your PCM for a 4L80E and then you'll never have any more tranny issues...

I say that after three 4L65e rebuilds (+ the original) and one rebuilt 4L80e over 40k boosted miles.
