okay so truck is RCSB '04 Silverado 4.8L 5spd w/ 20x10wheels wrapped in 295/45 rubber. otherwise truck is stock.

which plug-in tuner? (superchips, hypertech, jet, pay a dyno guy, etc...)




which intake?? (k&n, volant, etc..)



I plan to use cheapo 8" glasspacks & have custom exhaust pipes run.

what size pipes will give good balance of flow, backpressure, & sound??

do i need to run all new from manifold back or can i get a good setup doing cat-back?? i have no state vehicle inspection & would be in favor of doing away with the cats if necessary

 

nothing beats a single 3" cutout after the y-pipe if you're not going to run the cats . . .
