Favorite Tuning software
Hey guys. For those of you cruising with a laptop riding shotgun, what program are you using? I want to be able to bring up trouble codes and tune for my planned changes on my own, not by paying someone else to do it. I also don't want to spend money on more computer hardware, that's why I bought a laptop. I've got a '96 Silverado (for sale) and a '99 Sierra. Are Accel DFI and CALMAP still viable options? Thanks for reading my thread.

Either Hp Tuners or EfI live.. Both have a lot of user here, great support forums on their own, do frequent updates, and are overall great companies.. I went with Hp Tuners because thats what Allen Nelson uses..

I think they are both fine programs. I went with HPT for the ability to mess with the wife's Grand Am. I would look at the options and and pricing structures for each and decide which one you think works best for you. If there is someone near you with one of the programs that can help you learn that might be a factor in deciding as well. Either way you should be happy with either EFI or HPT.

sorry, i dont mean to hijack but i tried to post a new thread and it came up blank on my laptop.
What version would one get for a 2000 (5.7L) *6-spd* Z28, 2006 (V6 4.3L) *Auto* Silverado, and a 2007 (5spd) *2.2L* Cobalt?
what would a EFI V6.4 work with?
thanks for all inputs
