My turn signals are blinking fast. It is not a bulb, I know why its doing it but its a long story. Is there any way to reduce the load on the circuit to stop this? Could a resistor be used or something to that effect?

 

Ok, I guess I will be the one to ask. Why is it blinking fast? It might help with the correction.

I added pwr fold mirrors and replaced the BCM with one from a Escalade. The SUV brake signal is sent differently through the BCM and I had no brake lights on my truck except for my high mount. In order to keep from buying a new BCM I tapped into the high mount signal. Now the voltage is off and the blinkers blink fast. A $200.00 BCM will fix the problem, but if there is a way to fix it simply Im all for it.

 

Resistor.. Used for when people upgrade to led blinkers, it holds the voltage out, because they use some much less then a reg light.. Should work for you in this case

 

where would I put the resistors at?

 

You can put them inline behind on the hot side to the blinker...
