Default factory re-flash

I had an old hypertech that fritzed when I tried to remove the tune. Does anyone know the going rate for a dealer to re-flash my computer. I'm tight on green and can't get a custom tune done right now but need to do something because my truck is running like crap and lost like 3 mpg because of it.

Anywhere from 35 to 75 dollars, sry to hear bout your problem, save it up and get a mail order tune, $200

One of the local tuning shops was going to charge 1hr shop time to reflash it to stock. You may want to look into buying a new PCM from a junkyard or from eBay. You could get one on the cheap.

Or you could call around and explain to any local tuners what you need and they might take mercy on you. And as a bonus, you develop a rapport for when you finally do get a custom tune.
