Default escalade cluster rpm gauge not working! need help!

i have a escalade gauge cluster from an 02 escalade... every other gauge works fine except the rpm gauge... if you bump the dash it jumps up to where it needs to be for about 2 seconds and falls back to zero. The other day when it was about 40* outside it worked until the inside of the truck warmed up.. any suggestions?

yes the stepper motor moves the needle. you can buy a new motor and carefully take the needle off that one and put it on the new one.
If you check the forum there should be a thread on how to do it. Try searching for Stepper

no idea. If you find a thread on how to do the install it should have the part numbers IIRC
