Default Errors when trying to do OS upgrade and new calibration

So when trying to perform a full reflash I get this...

"Cannot create file C:\Program Files(x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Configuration\PCMLocks.ini . Access is denied.

And when trying to flash just a calibration I get this...

"The file's operating system number: 12212156, is not compatible with the PCM's operating system number: 12205612.

A calibration reflash is only permitted when both operating systems are compatible."

Im assuming the second error is because the PCM I have doesn't match the original PCM used. But I have no idea about the first one.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Looks like your trying to flash an older 99 camaro calibration over a 2000 silverado calibration.

Well was trying to flash in an 02 OS upgrade and new tune but I think the PCM I have might all ready be an 02 and wont let it work. Even if I try to just flash in the tune it wont work.

New pcm is licensed since I tried this one time before, decided to try again and posted the errors this time. Yea using the V2 in pass through mode.

Is the PCM locked? That cal is already 02 OS so no need to change it.

Under the Silverado calibrations on tune file depot

12212156 shows up under 2002 Silverado

12205612 I only see under 2000 Silverado

Are you bench flashing this or is it in the truck when your attempting to flash it?

Are you running the latest update with EFI Live? I full flash pcm's almost every day without any issue. I just did a couple today actually. I use the 2002 OS 12212156 in 99-01's all the time, just full flash them the first time and you will be good. Did you try flashing it with V8 or just in V7.5?

Got everything worked out... A VERY simple fix that Justin solved via email.

It was a permissions issue with my laptop. Right click on the tune tool, run as administrator, and problem solved. Anytime I want to actually flash in a new tune Ill have to go that route. Otherwise there are no issues.
