electrical issue

Happens a lot. Get a small hole in the insulation and corrosion does the rest.

it appears that i have made a rookie mistake yet again. i powder coated the alternator bracket and then mounted the ground from the battery to the bracket just like it was from the factory. im thinking this could be why i am having issues with the truck not turning over properly. guess i will have to wait until tomorrow to mount it to my head and see what happens.

well that was my issue. moved the negative from the alternator braket to the drivers side cylinder head and she cranks over like a dream.

I was just goona say to check the alt ground... Haha. sucks being an electrician.... I can wire a truck up no problem, but when i have to pull the engine apart....

i am the exact opposite. but i can say that i have spliced the wiring harness using a soldering iron and heat shrink and i did it correctly. so i am not to bad of an electrician. just never thought about the powder coating was a bad idea for the ground. maybe we could open a business. you wire and take it apart. now we just need someone to put it back together. haha
