Default EFILive tuning and wide band sensor

Is it possible to to dial in the Ve tables with out a wide band o2 sensor? If i were to get a wide band o2 does it replace an existing 02 sensor or do I need to have another bung welded in to the exhaust for it.

I am trying to learn how to tune my nnbs. Doing a lot of reading, compairing tunes, reading scans and logs. I'm just a little confused on the wide band o2.
Thanks,
Larry

It's best to be done with a wideband. I recommend adding another bung for it, on the left bank, before the cat.

Tuning w/o a wideband can be done but it usually is a slow and tedious process. Most Scan tools only scan cells at 10 fps and often take three or four 20 minute drive cycles with tuning tweeks in between each cycle. If you were to use a high performance scan tool (40 fps) then you might be able to do it in two drive cycles. With a wide band you will get more accurate information on one drive cycle.
