Default EFI Live Tuning Issues

I have an '07 Silverado with the 5.3L engine. It's lifted around 9 inches, has 35" mud tires and I switched to 4.88's (from the stock 3.73's). My issue is, the guys at East Coast Supercharging gave the truck a 93 octane EFi Live street tune(was told it's similar to HPT), but they can't figure out how to get the speedo correct (due to the larger diameter tires) and keep the ABS and Emergency brake lights from coming on (caused by the gears, Jeff Z informed me a scan revealed an error coded: C0245 wheel speed sensor frequency error), apparently EFI Live has no clue either. It's NOT a bad speed sensor, all my friends with lifted trucks are having the same issues. The truck drives great with the new paramaters which were forced, but those two issues I mentioned still exist and they're quite annoying to deal with and accept on a brand new truck. I was told by the Jeff Zacher at The Trans Shoppe in Livingston if anyone had any answers, or could steer me in the right direction it would be Ken Kelly, anyone know him? Of course if anyone else has any ideas, clues, anything at this point, it would be appreciated too.

Well, did they change the parameters in the vehicle speed sensor pulses per mile table?

It's H0101 - H0115

You have to calculate the values for H0101 and H0104 based on your tire size and gear ratio. The box for gear ratio is not used by EFI live for your speedo or anything.

With 35" and 4.88 your H0101 should be 112538

Your H0104 should be 2813.4

I think I've heard of this before, it's not en EFILive/pcm issue, it's a body controller module issue because of the larger tires and lower gears. A "C" code is a Body module code and can not be addressed with EFILive. What I've heard of guys having a problem like this is to go do a dealer have have them set the ABS controller for the largest tire lowers gear combo they can and I believe that fixes it most of the time. As far as I know, there is nothing EFILive or HPTunners can do about it.

Thanks for the info, I have no idea how the parameters would be changed on the vehicle, or if it has ben done already. I know the programmer was tinkering with parameters, supposedly you have to keep tweaking tire size among other things until it takes, it's very time consuming I was told and is a total crapshoot. Programmer told me he would need to know the 'window' values. I'll pass this onto the programmer though, thanks again.

4.56 and 37" tires is the max you can do with the PCM before you start having issues.
I tuned a boys truck and his ABS and Ebrake light stayed on. The ABS acted up bad locking up the rear brakes on light brake pressure in the rain.

I changed the tune to 4.55s and 36.8" tires and it took care of the problem.

I know you have to fool the PCM. Which tune were you using? So as far as the dash lights, it took care of that problem too? I haven't had issues with the ABS locking up.

I use EFI Live, no dash lights (ABS or Parking Brake)
Forgot to mention this was a 2002 Z71.. i havent messed with but a couple NNBS.
But ive heard they are a pain to get right with tire/gear changes.

looks like Nonnie has you covered. I'm baffled why GM wouldn't allow monster truck specs in the PCM
