I have an opportunity to buy a used efi live v2 , the guy used it to tune a dura max, and says it has one vin left, will I be able to tune my 6.0l that I am using in a swap, I need to delete emissions and vats. Or will I need to buy different software?

Also what's a fair price on a used one, I see they are 899 new with two vins, and then you can get more for 125

Yes, you can do the tuning that you need for your 6L swap (deletes, vats, etc..) Fair price is debatable. As you said, a new one with 2 VIN licenses is $900 .... with only 1 VIN left, maybe ~$750 - 800??? Either way, if you ever wanted / needed to tune another LS, having EFI Live will be very handy

 

Being used and only having 1 vin lic left, I would not pay more then $750. Your not getting a warranty like you would with a new one and another lic will cost you $125 which puts you $25 under a brand new unit.
