This code P0410 keeps setting randomly, every week or so. I have checked the sticky for DTC's and have come up with "Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction." I checked to see if the Air Pump was operating upon startup and confirmed it was O.K.

This Trouble code is not very detailed, any other ideas as to what might be the issue? I checked for loose connections / bad gaskets in the system and did not find any. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

 

Could this be one of the check valves close to the manifold malfunctioning and allowing exhaust gases back to the AIR pump? Is there a sensor in the system that would detect this condition? Thanks, Chris.
