Hey guys my buddy just installed some hids in his 2008 RCSB Silverado and everything worked fine...then he installed a plug in play led replacement bulb in the dome light to see how it was and he didnt like it. So he took it out and put the stock bulb back in and now at night when the interior lights and headlights are on and he turns the dome light on with the stock bulb all of the interior lights go out except for the digital odometer and radio. When he turns the dimmer switch all the way up the lights work fine. The only aftermarket lights are the hids and everything worked fine until he tried the led dome light...any ideas?

 

I would like to place my bet on a bad dimmer switch.

 

I have the same problem after trying to put led's in one of my switches without a resistor. Im pretty sure i just need to go down to the truck yard and pull another

 

Have you found a solution to the problem? I'm having the exact same issue. I installed some aftermarket lights and the only thing I did was unhook the battery terminals, install the lights like I've done dozens of times before and hook everything back up. I'm trying to avoid a trip to the dealer on my 2011 silverado. Any help would be great!!
