My buddy has a ls1 that basically needs all the sensors (knock, cam, Crank, etc.) Finding a ls1 in a salvage yard isnt the easiest thing to do, but 4.8/5.3 are a dime a dozen. So if they are interchangeable, alot of money could be saved.

 

As long as they are both Gen 3 then yes. The newer ones have 58 tooth reluctor wheel on crank.
